Heritage Consultant Lancaster helps secure planning and Listed building consent for Ellel Hall, Lancaster.
Working with Mason Gillibrand Architects, Townscape provided a detailed heritage assessment of Ellel Hall to help guide and shape the plans for its restoration and modernisation.
Ellel Hall is a grade II listed building and the building dates from the early 1700s although much altered, the building retains its grandeur as a small country house.
Our heritage assessment report provided a detailed analysis of the building internally and externally commenting on its architectural history and qualities. We assessed the significance of all elements of the building and provided commentary on the draft plans to ensure that the works proposed wouldn’t result in harm to this important building. In addition, the setting of the building formed an important aspect to its importance which together with proposed external changes could have resulted in change not commensurate with the hall’s overall appearance.
The wide ranging works have been given full planning and listed building approval and works are on-going to transform this country house in to a spectacular home.
